CenterSquare recognizes the pivotal role commercial real estate properties play within their surrounding communities. ESG integration across our direct property investments begins at due diligence with a holistic analysis of environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities. Additionally, we seek to measure the environmental and social impact of our value-add, essential service retail, and debt verticals in a number of meaningful ways.

As a fiduciary and proponent of responsible investing, CenterSquare believes it is important investors participate in all company meetings through the exercise of their voting rights.

As an active manager, we enhance our investment rationale for a company via an active engagement program and are committed to advancing our clients’ voting rights globally as outlined in our Proxy Voting Policy.

Transparency regarding our ESG practices is a key tenet of our program. We provide quarterly responsible investment updates to clients, both regularly and upon request. Our annual reporting includes a yearly firm publication and submitting data through the UN PRI framework.
