Job Overview:
The Associate of People Operations and Recruiting is responsible for working as part of the Human Resources team to support business objectives through managing and administering a diverse range of human resources functions. Areas of support include recruitment, employee orientation, employee relations, leave of absence management, company HR policy, health and insurance benefits plans, performance management, HR record keeping and special projects as assigned. The position will report directly to the Chief People Officer and will be located in our Conshohocken, PA headquarters.
Roles & Responsibilities:
People Operations (60%):
- Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
- Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
- May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations, including maintaining employee files and records.
Talent Acquisition (30%):
- Work closely with hiring managers to: assess recruitment needs, understand job requirements, and develop job descriptions for each position if needed.
- Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
- Develop and post job descriptions, source candidates through various channels, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations.
- Form external relationships with key candidate pools; attend strategic recruiting events, review applications, manage interview process
- Administer various employment tests to candidates
HR Operations Administrative Projects (10%):
- Collect and compile data for various statistical reports relating to human resources administration
- Update and maintain employee files
- Assist with HR responses to RFP’s and DDQ’s related to recruiting and talent management
- Assist with Talent Management and Talent Development special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5-7 years’ proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a similar industry
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws regarding employment practices, including, but not limited to, EEOC, FLSA, ADA, FMLA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in HR management systems (HRIS)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and ability to develop trusting relationships
- 401(k) administration experience
- Experience working in a fast paced atmosphere and ability to handle multiple ongoing projects
- Excellent project management skills
